5431A native of Massapequa, N.Y., Dave Pabon played soccer at Binghamton from 1992-95. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1996.

A gifted forward with speed and playmaking ability, Pabon is the program’s all-time points leader after its first 46 years. He tallied 35 goals and 36 assists in four seasons, averaging more than a point per game.

In his freshman season, Pabon notched eight goals and seven assists, helping BU roll to a 15-3-2 record. He was named second team all-conference and all-state.

In 1993, Pabon led the Colonials to 14 wins and an ECAC Championship. He produced 10 goals and 10 assists, and was selected as both first team all-conference and all-state.

His crowning achievement came in 1994, when the junior was voted second team All-American — just the seventh Binghamton player ever chosen for the national honor. His six goals and nine assists carried the Colonials to 11 consecutive wins and an NCAA tournament berth.

As a senior, Pabon struck for 11 goals and 10 assists and was named offensive MVP for a third straight season at the Binghamton Invitational. He added first team all-conference and second team all-state honors.

During his four-year career, Binghamton averaged more than 12 wins a season and played postseason three times. He was an all-SUNYAC and all-region selection every year. In addition to his No. 1 standing in career points, Pabon graduated as the program’s all-time assists leader and was second in career goals.

Pabon was twice named the University’s “Athlete of the Year” and was also honored with the John Bilos Award for outstanding career achievement.
