A native of Ontario, N.Y., Josh Patterson wrestled at Binghamton from 2006-10. He graduated with a degree in economics in 2010. He has a worked as a self-employed independent property adjuster for six years in the Rochester area. Patterson and his wife, Kristen live in Webster with their children, Penelope, two and Thomas, two months.

Patterson while at Binghamton was a four-time NCAA Division I qualifier. He was the programs first Division I All-American. He won five matched at 184 pounds to place seventh at 2009 in both wins (46) and pins (22). He was the university's athlete of the year in 2008-09, was a two-time CAA champion and 2010 Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Patterson's career overall record of 123-32 (70-9 duals), and received the John Bilos Award for career achievement as a senior.
