Women’s Basketball Trio Earns CSC Academic All-District Honors

Weltz, Fauria and Bennett honored for balancing athletics and academics

VESTAL, N.Y. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has released its 2025 Women's Basketball Academic All-District Teams and a trio of Bearcat players are included. They are redshirt sophomore guard Jadyn Weltz, junior forward Camryn Fauria as well as sophomore forward Kendall Bennett. 
 
Formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA), the CSC divides the NCAA institutions into nine geographic districts, with Binghamton being located in District 1. In order to earn Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games during the current season (or have started in 67 percent of their games), have been at their current institution for at least a calendar year, have attained sophomore status athletically and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Weltz makes her second straight appearance as an Academic All-District honoree. She appeared in all 30 games with 23 starts this year. Weltz was named third-team all-conference and was also chosen to the America East All-Academic Team. 

During the 2024-25 season, Weltz led the Bearcats in scoring with 9.7 points per game. She tied for 13th in the conference in scoring, ranked seventh in assists (2.8 apg.) and tied for third in steals (1.8 spg.)

Fauria makes her first appearance as a CSC Academic All-District selection. She appeared in all 30 games with 22 starts this past season. Fauria reached double figures in scoring twice and led the team in rebounding three times.

Bennett, meanwhile, also earns her first CSC Academic All-District honor. She appeared in all 30 games with eight starts. Bennett ranked eighth in the America East in rebounding (5.4) and tied for second with 1.1 blocks per game.

Binghamton finished the 2024-25 campaign 15-15 (7-9 AE).
