Men's basketball freshman guard Romello Walker was named America East Rookie of the Week and Binghamton's Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC Athlete of the Week for January 5-11. He averaged 17.5 points on 59 percent shooting to lead the Bearcats to a win over Maine and a narrow loss at Hartford. Walker twice raised his season-high in scoring, tallying 17 points against Hartford and netting 18 vs. Maine. In conference play, he's averaging more than 16 points per game, which ranks fourth in the entire America East.
