Dan Schaffer, the current America East Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, won the Buffalo Stampede this past Friday, clocking a time of 24:38 for the 8,000-meter course. He finished ahead of the other 84 runners and won by five seconds over runner up Ryan Hughes of Pittsburgh.

For Schaffer, the victory at Buffalo came on the heels of a runner-up finish at the season-opening America East Pre-Conference Meet back on Sept. 2. He was two seconds behind redshirt senior teammate Eric Holt.
