Newman played a big role in each of the two victories over Colgate and Marist. On March 8 against Colgate, Newman broke the BU single game record with six assists, surpassing a record held by Lauren Wetherell since 2006. On March 11 against Marist, Newman tallied five points with three goals and two assists. Newman is currently in the top 15 for assists in the NCAA.
