Women's soccer player Michele Galvin has been named the Wells Fargo LLC Athlete of the Week for October 10. The redshirt junior midfielder tallied a goal and an assist to lead Binghamton to a key 2-1 home win over Maine on Sunday - a win that put BU back in the running for a postseason berth. Galvin assisted on a goal in the 38th minute, sending a corner kick in from the right that was headed in by teammate Rachel Parsons. The assist was her team-best fourth of the fall.  Then with the score deadlocked at 1-1 late in the game, Galvin took another corner kick from the left side and curled it over the keeper's head and into the goal in the 80th minute for the game-winner. It was her second game-winning goal of the season. The Middletown, New York native leads the Bearcats with eight points this season.
