Lane - Starke Tennis Center

Dedication Ceremony

Binghamton's men's and women's tennis programs will have a new home beginning in spring 2023. With the University's recent purchase of the nearby Binghamton Tennis Center, the Bearcats will now extend their play to both indoor and outdoor seasons at the Center, which is located in Binghamton a short drive from the University.

Both tennis programs have been utilizing the six indoor courts at the BTC for decades of winter play. Now with the Center coming under the umbrella of the Binghamton Auxiliary Services Corporation, outdoor upgrades and expansion will add NCAA caliber courts for warm weather practice and competition.

The facility renovations will give the Bearcats an even stronger and central home complex for year-round play.

The facility was previously owned and operated by former BU Hall of Fame coach Michael Starke and it continues to hold a strong reputation among the sizable Greater Binghamton tennis community. The newly named Lane - Starke Tennis Center also honors former men's standout Michael Lane '89. Lane and his wife Lisa, a Class of 1989 and 1991 Binghamton alumna, provided a substantial gift to benefit the BU tennis programs.

The expansive facility is located at 3801 Mill Street in Binghamton, less than five miles from campus.
