VESTAL, N.Y.- The Binghamton wrestling team opens the 2015-16 season with three dual matches on Sunday, November 1. The Bearcats will take on Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) foe Franklin and Marshall at 10 a.m., Centenary (NJ) at noon, and #18 Rutgers at 2 p.m. All three matches will be held at Rutgers' College Avenue Gym.

Matt Dernlan begins his fourth season as BU's head coach. Last year, Binghamton went 9-10 in dual competition, including a win over #22 Bucknell. Senior
Jack McKeever returns following an NCAA Championships appearance in March. Sophomores
Steve Schneider and
Vincent DePrez are also back after winning 20 matches as rookies.

Franklin and Marshall is led by Rick Durso, a 141-pound senior, is eighth in Wrestling Report's preseason rankings. Durso went 23-3 last season and ranks second in program history with 106 career wins. In their last meeting, Binghamton beat F&M, 41-4, in 2008.

Centenary went 4-9 last season. 174-pounder Josh Sibblies, a junior, posted a 28-8 record last season. This is BU's first meeting with the Cyclones.

Rutgers, a member of the Big Ten, went 14-7 last season. Anthony Ashnault, a 141-pound sophomore, leads the Scarlet Knights. Ashnault went 29-8 last season and is tabbed seventh in his weight class by Wrestling Report. Senior heavyweight Billy Smith is ranked 11
th in his division after going 20-10 a year ago. This marks the first matchup between the programs.
