Women's Basketball Opens 2015-16 Season at Michigan

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
 
Binghamton returns four starters from last season's team. In their lone exhibition game, the Bearcats turned in a 66-59 win over East Stroudsburg last Friday at the Events Center. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins had a game-high 28 points and 14 rebounds. Sophomore forward Alyssa James had 19 points and nine rebounds while freshman guard Rebecca Carmody added 11 points and nine rebounds.
 
SCOUTING MICHIGAN
 
Michigan finished 20-15 in 2015-16 and advanced to the WNIT semifinals. Sophomore Katelynn Flaherty led the Wolverines in scoring last year with 14.3 points per game.
 
THE SERIES AGAINST MICHIGAN
 
This marks the first-ever meeting between the two schools in women's basketball.
 
WORTH NOTING
 
When Binghamton head coach Linda Cimino was playing for Adelphi University, her head coach during the 1999-00 season was Kim Barnes Arico, who is the current head coach at Michigan.
