Women's Basketball Heads to Canisius

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-2) won 74-18 over Cedar Crest on Saturday. Sophomore forward Alyssa James finished with a career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds to record her second double-double of the season. Senior guard Kim Albrecht and sophomore guard Imani Watkins each added 10 points.

- James leads the Bearcats with 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and a conference-best 2.3 blocks per game. Watkins is second with 13.3 points per game and Albrecht is averaging 10.5 points per night.

- Canisius (1-2) defeated St. Francis (Pa.) 77-52 in its home opener on Saturday. Margaret Halfdanardottir, who is averaging a team-best 12.0 ppg., led the way with a career-high 19 points. Maria Welch, meanwhile, added a career-high 16 points. Crstyal Porter, meanwhile, is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game.

- Canisius leads the all-time series 6-2, having the past two meetings. Last season, the Golden Griffs recorded a 66-53 home victory on Nov. 19. Current sophomore guard Imani Watkins finished with 22 points in that game. Binghamton's last win in the series was a 66-50 win at the Events Center on Nov. 16, 2010.

- In all four games this season, Binghamton has had a player grab at least 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Alyssa James had 10 rebounds against Cedar Crest and Michigan on Nov. 14. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins grabbed 11 against NJIT on Monday and freshman guard Rebecca Carmondy posted 11 against Bucknell on Wednesday.
