STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-24, 2-13 AE) lost 68-59 to Stony Brook on Thursday night at the Events Center. Freshman point guard Jasmine Sina had 17 points and seven assists while senior forward Sherae Swinson finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Freshman guard Imani Watkins added nine points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals.

- For the season, freshman point guard Jasmine Sina leads the Bearcats with 15.0 points per game, which is fifth in the America East. It is also the highest scoring average by a Binghamton player since the 2001-02 season. Freshman guard Imani Watkins is second on the squad and ninth in the conference with 13.4 points per contest. Senior forward Sherae Swinson is fifth in the America East with 7.4 rebounds per game.

- UMBC (10-18, 5-10 AE) was defeated 61-41 at first-place Maine on Thursday night. Pandora Wilson netted a team-best 16 points while Taylor McCarley dished out six assists.

-  For the season, Capree Garner leads the Retrievers and ranks second in the America East with with 17.3 points per game. McCarley ranks second on the squad with 11.3 points per contest. She also ranks third in the conference with 4.6 assists per night.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series 16-7 but the Retrievers have won the past three meetings. Most recently, UMBC took a 71-55 decision at the Events Center on Jan. 28. Junior guard Kim Albrecht led the Bearcats with 19 points while freshman point guard Jasmine Sina added 13 points.

- The freshman duo of guards Jasmine Sina and Imani Watkins have combined for eight America East Rookie of the Week honors so far this season. Sina was the pick on Dec. 1, Dec. 29, Jan. 5, Feb. 2 and Feb. 9 while Watkins was selected on Nov. 17, Nov. 24 and Dec. 22.
