HAMILTON, N.Y.—The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (6-9, 1-4 America East) lost today at the Colgate Raiders (9-5, 5-2 Patriot) by a score of 14-5.

The Bearcats struck first, when Callon Williams fed Renee Kiviat a pass out in front of the net, and Kiviat sent it home to give the Bearcats the lead. Unfortunately for BU it would prove to be the team's only lead of the game, as Colgate proceeded to go on a 6-0 tear.

Callon Williams stopped the bleeding by scoring her first goal of the game, but the Raiders then rattled off three more goals to make it 9-2. Kiviat then made it 9-3 with two second left in the half by catching a pass from Sophia Racciatti and shooting it past the Colgate goalkeeper.

In the second half Racciatti picked up her second assist. This time she fed a pass to Valerie DeNapoli, with the sophomore's shot making it 10-4. After a pair of Colgate goals, Tiffany Ryan tallied her first (and Binghamton's final) goal of the game.

Allie Rodgers had two more caused turnovers in the loss, as she continues her ascent in the Bearcats' record books. Samantha Karner posted career-high numbers, securing six draw controls for BU. Erin McNulty played the full game in net, making seven saves and scooping up two groundballs.

Binghamton returns to action this Friday, April 17, for their final America East contest of 2015. The team faces the Albany Great Danes at 6 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex, and prior to the game will be honoring the four Bearcat seniors: Rachel Antelmi, Alex Fisher, Renee Kiviat, and Brianna Russo.
