STORY LINES

- Binghamton (7-10, 2-1 AE) hung tough with four-time defending conference champion Albany before losing 59-47 on Monday afternoon at the Events Center. Senior guard Kim Albrecht poured in a game-high 20 points while sophomore forward Alyssa James finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and a game-high four blocks.
 
- James ranks fourth in the America East in both scoring (16.7 ppg.) and rebounding (8.8 rpg). She is also first with 3.1 blocks. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins is fifth in the conference in scoring (16.2 ppg.), third in assists (4.6 apg.) and is fourth in steals (2.3 spg.). Albrecht is averaging 11.6 points per game and leads the America East with 2.3 three-point field goals per game as well as a .411 three-point field goal percentage.

- Vermont (6-12, 1-4 AE) won 59-51 at UMass Lowell on Monday afternoon. The Catamounts shot a perfect 22-for-22 from the free throw line in the process. Andreana Thomas, who ranks eighth in the America East with 14.2 points per game, finished with a game-high 25 points against the River Hawks. Kylie Atwood added 12 points.

- Vermont leads the all-time series 19-9. Last season the two teams split the pair of meetings. Binghamton won 73-62 at the Events Center on Jan. 10, 2015. The Catamounts, however, got even with a 72-66 triumph at Patrick Gym on Feb. 7, 2015. The Bearcats' last win at Patrick Gym was a 55-51 overtime victory on Jan. 23, 2011.

- Binghamton and Vermont are the top two shot-blocking teams in the America East Conference this season. The Catamounts are first with 5.0 bpg. followed by the Bearcats with 4.4 bpg.
