WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Binghamton men's basketball (5-19, 2-9 America East) has an opportunity to jump ahead of Hartford (7-18, 2-8 AE) in the standings when the teams meet at 7 p.m. Thursday night in West Hartford. 

With just five regular season games left, both teams are trying to snap losing streaks as they jockey for postseason position. 

QUICK FACTS
•    Binghamton plays three of its next four games on the road and will try to win at Chase Arena for the first time in five years. 
•    The Bearcats will attempt to snap a 10-game losing streak to the Hawks.      
•    Junior guard Marlon Beck (9.7 ppg.) looks to shake off a scoreless showing against Albany. Beck ranks third in the AE in threes/game (2.5) and is third on BU's all-time made three-pointers list (150).  
•    Sophomore forward Willie Rodriguez is sixth in the AE in scoring (14.1 ppg.) and eighth in rebounding (6.5 rpg.). 
•    Freshman center Thomas Bruce is averaging 7.1 points (on 57% FG) and 5.1 rebounds in league play.   
•    Binghamton's current rotation features no seniors and just two juniors. The 11 underclassmen gives BU the eighth-highest underclassmen percentage in the country (73.3%).

LAST TIME OUT
•    On Monday night, BU hung with two-time reigning conference champion Albany until the final few minutes but lost 69-56 at the Events Center.
•    Sophomore center Dusan Perovic drilled 4-of-5 threes en route to a season-high 24 points. It was the second time in his young career he's scored 20 or more points. 
•    Freshman center Thomas Bruce and sophomore forward Willie Rodriguez added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
•    Nearly 1,400 students were in attendance for the ESPN3 game, which drew an official total of 4,923 fans.
•    Albany shot 50 percent in the second half to extend a two-point halftime edge.
•    The Great Danes made 19-of-23 free throws.

ABOUT HARTFORD
•    Hartford has dropped five straight and seven of its last eight games.
•    The Hawks surrender 80 points a game and opponents shoot 48%.
•    In their last outing, the Hawks fell 85-72 Monday at Stony Brook.
•    Before that, Hartford lost 85-82 at home to UMass Lowell. The team's lone AE wins came against Binghamton and UMBC (98-87 on road). 
•    Newcomer Pancake Thomas ranks second in the AE in scoring (18.2 ppg.) and sixth in rebounding (6.7 rpg.).
•    Hartford launches an average of 27 three-pointers per game (most in AE) and is hitting 35% (4th in AE).
•    The Hawks graduated six seniors, including four starters, from a 14-16 team of a year ago. They were picked to finish sixth in the Preseason Poll.  

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. HARTFORD
•    Thanks to 10 straight wins, Hartford holds a 20-11 lead in the series.
•    Six of the 10 wins during the streak have come by six or fewer points.
•    The last five regular season games have been decided by a combined 23 points.
•    One month ago in Vestal, Hartford hit 5-of-6 free throws in the final 21 seconds to seal a 76-72 win.
•    Sophomore forward Willie Rodriguez led four BU players in double figures with 19 points and freshman center Thomas Bruce tallied his first collegiate double-double with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.   

NEXT UP

•    After playing four games in nine days, BU has six days off before facing Vermont in Burlington next Wednesday. The Catamounts have won 11 of the last 13 in the head-to-head series.
