Women's Basketball Hosts UMass Lowell On Senior Day

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (11-15, 6-7 AE) won 66-52 over Vermont on Tuesday night at the Events Center. Senior guard Kim Albrecht scored a game-high 19 points, going 5-for-5 from beyond the three-point arc in the process. Sophomore forward Alyssa James added 15 points, nine rebounds and a game-high seven blocks. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins, meanwhile, finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds to notch her third career double-double.

- Watkins currently ranks fifth in the America East with 15.8 points per game. She is also fourth with 3.8 assists as well as 2.4 steals per game. James ranks sixth in the America East in scoring (14.8 ppg.) and is tied for third in rebounding (8.0 rpg). She also ranks first in blocks per game with 3.1. Albrecht is averaging 12.4 points per game and ranks first in the conference with a .441 three-point field goal percentage. In addition, Albrecht currently first in the NCAA with a .923 free throw percentage.

- UMass Lowell (4-22, 1-13 AE) lost 63-55 to visiting New Hampshire on Wednesday night. Lindsey Doucette and Melissa Frase each scored 15 points. Doucette also added nine rebounds. For the season, Doucette leads the River Hawks with 13.6 points per game and is tied for third in the America East with 8.0 rebounds per game.  

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against UMass Lowell, having won 75-70 in overtime on the road back on Jan. 24. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins poured in a game-high 27 points while senior guard Kim Albrecht added 23 points. It was Albrecht's three-point field goal in the waning seconds of regulation that forced overtime.
