Â
Binghamton appeared to have command of the game as it took a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning. Sophomore outfielder

Stephanie Bielec scored on a passed ball and senior first baseman
Lisa Cadogan tripled home a run.
Â
The Wolverines were held to just three hits but got all of them -- as well as all five of their runs -- in the bottom of the fifth inning. Smith tripled home two of the runs and Vansway capped the inning with a two-run home run.
Â
Cadogan pulled the Bearcats to within 5-4 in the top of the seventh inning on an RBI groundout. The tying run, however, was left on third base when the game ended.

Kellee Ramsey improved to 1-1 with the victory while sophomore pitcher
Sarah Miller fell to 1-3 with the loss.
Â
Rutherford and junior shortstop
Crysti Eichner each finished with two hits.
Â
Binghamton travels to James Madison next weekend to take part in the Dukes' in-season invitational. It will mark the Bearcats' first trip to Harrisonburg since last spring's NCAA Tournament.
