VESTAL, N.Y.- The Binghamton wrestling team fell, 22-14, against Army Sunday afternoon. Parker Kropman, Mark Tracy, Connor Calkins and Steven Bulzomi each won for the Bearcats in the EIWA matchup at the West Gym. 

Army came out to a strong start against the Bearcats, earning eight team points from the first two matches. Freshman Parker Kropman, at 149 pounds, was able to cut that lead in half for the Bearcats dominating in his match. Kropman was up 5-0 going into the third period when he recorded a takedown and two reversals to win by major decision 11-3. 

Binghamton fell in their next four bouts, trailing Army 22-4 going into the 197-pound bout. Redshirt sophomore Mark Tracy was able to pull the Bearcats back in it, taking a 13-4 major decision win against Rocco Caywood. Following his performance, redshirt sophomore Connor Calkins and sophomore Steven Bulzomi each won both of their matches. Unfortunately their wins combined were not enough to stop Army, as they posted the dual victory.

BU is now 5-4 overall and 5-2 in EIWA action. The Bearcats travel to Providence, RI this Friday, January 27 for a conference matchup against Brown. The dual is slated for 7 pm start time.
