- Off to its best start since the 2005-06 season, Binghamton (8-4) won 76-54 at Rider in its most recent game on Dec. 21. All five Bearcat starters reached double figures in scoring, led by senior guard

- Watkins leads the America East and ranks No. 22 in the nation with 20.7 points per game. Sophomore guard
Kai Moon is averaging 11.0 points per night. James, meanwhile, leads the conference and is second in the nation with 4.7 blocks per game. She is also third in the America East with 8.9 rebounds per night. As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the nation with 8.0 blocks per game. The Bearcats are also tops in the America East in rebounding (42.2 rpg.).
- Dartmouth (8-4) lost 76-61 at Albany on Saturday. The Big Green have already defeated America East opponents Vermont (66-56 on Nov. 10) and New Hampshire (57-49 on Dec. 5) but lost to Maine 64-51 on Dec. 9. Cy Lippold leads Dartmouth with 14.7 points per game followed by Kate Letkewicz with 13.1 points per game. Lippold had a team-best 15 points in the game at Albany.
- This marks the first meeting between the two schools in women's basketball. Binghamton won the 2013 Dartmouth Invitational but did not play the Big Green during that event.
- Dartmouth is the fourth and final Ivy League opponent Binghamton faces this season. The Bearcats have gone 2-1 against the Ivy League this year, with two of those games being decided in overtime.
