VESTAL, N.Y. - Coming off a 78-73 home win over Sacred Heart on Saturday, Binghamton men's basketball (2-4) hits the road for an away game at Army West Point (2-5) Wednesday night. The teams square off at 7:30 p.m. at Christl Arena.  

This is the second of three scheduled games against members of the Patriot League (Colgate, Loyola). BU is 10-29 all-time vs. the Patriot League

• Binghamton put four in double figures and shot 55 percent in 78-73 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday

• Coming off 85-55 loss at Miami (Ohio) on Saturday
• Made just 8-of-31 three-point attempts and were minus 16 on glass
• Beat Marist in the season opener and then put 72 points on the board at No. 3 Duke in a 22-point loss
• Dropped all three games at the Brown Tip-Off Classic, including a 92-85 loss to fellow America East member UMass Lowell
• Return four starters and 19 lettermen from 13-17 team that finished ninth in the Patriot League (6-12)
• Picked to finish sixth (of 10) in the Patriot League Preseason Poll

All-time series vs. Army
• Army leads 8-3 and is 6-1 at Christl in the series
• Binghamton snapped a six-game Army win streak in the series with a 71-66 home win last December 6 in Vestal.
• In that game, BU held Army 17 points under its scoring average and made 6-of-8 free throws in the final 1:08 to wrap it up. Guard J.C. Show scored a game-high 16 points and backcourt mate Timmy Rose chipped in eight points in the final 7:42 (10 pts. overall).

Bearcats rank FIRST in nation in blocks
Despite opening the season without the top shot blocker in the America East (Thomas Bruce), BU has racked up 46 blocks and ranks first in the entire nation (7.7/game), ahead of Duke (7.3), Washington (6.7) and Gonzaga (6.7).  

Sessoms named America East Rookie of Week for second time
Freshman guard Sam Sessoms earned his second America East Rookie of the Week honor in three weeks (Nov. 12, Nov. 26) after averaging 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in games against Colgate and Sacred Heart. He ranks 10th in the nation in freshman scoring (17.8 ppg.) and is third in the America East in overall scoring.
