VESTAL, N.Y. – This past weekend was a historic one for the Binghamton women's basketball team, as it traveled to face defending NCAA Division I women's champion Notre Dame. It marked the highest-ranked NCAA Division I opponent had faced as well as the first time the Bearcats had faced the defending champion.
Joining the Bearcats that day were several Binghamton athletic alumni, who were at Saturday's practice at the Joyce Center as well as Sunday's game. In addition, Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger was also in town for the weekend to cheer on the Bearcats.
On Sunday, Stenger was on live at the half with WNBF announcer Cameron Lavalier.
