Women's Lacrosse beats Hartford 24-1

Bearcats set program-record with 24 goals in a game, 13 different players score for Binghamton

Hartford, CT - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (6-7, 3-2 AE) set a new program record with their 24-1 win over Hartford (1-10, 0-5 AE), scoring the most goals in Bearcat history in the contest. Senior Tiffany Ryan lead the charge for the Bearcats, scoring four goals and two assists for a game-high six points in the victory. Ryan also picked up three ground balls.

13 total Bearcats scored in the contest, as Binghamton moves to 3-2 in the America East for the best conference start in program history.

"Today was a great team win," head coach Stephanie Allen said. "I was really proud of our performance on both ends of the field. Our focus continues to be on us and I really believe we are peaking at the right time, bettering ourselves each day and learning from each game. We loved seeing everyone contribute today in a big way."

  • Binghamton scored 14 unanswered goals in the first half against the Hawks
  • Katie Gaudet, Aldyn Savage, Lindsey Stephen and Shannon McGreevy scored their first goals of the season
  • Brianne Arthur scored three goals and scooped up one ground ball
  • Paige Volkmann scored three goals with one assist
  • Rebecca Golderman netted two free position goals
  • Skye Schumacher scored two goals and added one assist while picking up four ground balls
  • Amelia Biancardi scored two goals and secured nine draw controls in the circle, adding her name to a five-way tie for the single-season record for draw controls
  • Emily Yoo added two assists
  • Gaudet scored one goal, had two assists and picked up three ground balls in the contest

The Bearcats are back in action on Tuesday, April 17 for a home game against Cornell. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start time at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
