Bearcats look to stretch home unbeaten streak; kick-off is 5 p.m. at Sports Complex

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer (3-3-2) looks to extend its perfect home record when the Bearcats host Bryant (3-3) at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Sports Complex. Binghamton is 3-0 at home this season and hasn't been scored on in those games.

Binghamton is coming off a 2-0 comprehensive win over Cornell on Sunday. The Bearcats scored once in each half and held a 15-7 shots advantage. Senior Kayla Saager scored her fifth goal of the season to seal the game late. Freshman defender Kayla MacKenzie got BU on the board with her first collegiate tally in the 19th minute. Freshman keeper Haylee Poltorak lowered her goals against average to 0.80 with her first collegiate complete-game shutout.

This is the second of three straight home games to end the non-conference schedule. After hosting LIU on Sunday, the Bearcats will begin defense of their 2017 co-regular season title the following Sunday at Vermont.

The Bulldogs have split their first six games this season and have traded two-goal results in their last two, beating Holy Cross 2-0 one week ago before losing 2-0 at fellow America East member UMass Lowell on Sunday. Bryant has gone 0-2 against America East schools so far this fall, having lost 4-2 to Maine on Sept. 2. The team's other wins came against Rhode Island (2-1) and Fairfield (2-1).

Senior back Cayla D'Amico leads the team with three goals and seven points. The Bulldogs were picked fourth (out of 9) in the Northeast Conference preseason poll. The team went 11-5-2 and reached the NEC semifinals last season.

Binghamton and Bryant have met just twice, with the Bulldogs winning 1-0 in 2016 and the teams playing to a 0-0 tie last fall.
