Women’s Basketball Defeats Le Moyne 57-56 in Exhibition Game

Bearcats begin regular season Tuesday at Siena

VESTAL, N.Y. – Senior guard Carly Boland netted a team-best 17 points, leading Binghamton to a 57-56 win over Le Moyne in a women's basketball exhibition game on Friday night at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center. The game was the final preseason contest for the Bearcats before Tuesday night's regular-season opener at Siena.

Boland, who was a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point rage, was one of three Binghamton players to reach double figures in scoring. Junior forward Oliva Ramil finished with 11 points while freshman guard Zahra Barnes added 10 points. Sophomore forward Annie Ramil, meanwhile, grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.

The victory overshadowed an impressive effort by Mckalya Roberts of Le Moyne. She scored a game-high 18 points and tied Annie Ramil for the game high with 11 rebounds.

Boland also dished out a game-high five assists in the winning effort while Barnes added rebounds, a pair of assists and three steals.

Tip off for the game at Siena on Tuesday is at 5 p.m.
