Women's Basketball Heads to UMBC

Bearcats and Retrievers tip off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (9-15, 4-7 AE) lost 54-53 to New Hampshire on Saturday. Senior forward Rebecca Carmody finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the season. Junior guard Karlee Krchnavi finished with a game-high 12 rebounds.
 
- Carmody ranks fifth in the America East in scoring (13.4 ppg.), first in rebounding (7.9 rpg.) is fifth in assists (3.0 apg.) and ninth in steals (1.7 spg.). Junior guard Carly Boland and sophomore forward Olivia Ramil are both tied for fifth with 1.0 blocks per game.
 
- As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the conference in rebounding (37.4 rpg.) and blocks (3.96 bpg.). The Bearcats are also fourth in scoring (60.3 ppg.) and assists (12.46) as well as third with a .389 field goal percentage.
 
- UMBC (8-15, 1-9 AE) lost 58-45 at home to first-place Maine on Saturday. Janee'a Sumers and Tey'Jah Oliver each finished with 10 points. For the season, Sumers is No. 10 in the America East in scoring (11.7 ppg.), fourth in rebounding (6.7 rpg.) and tied for eight in blocks.
 
- As a team, UMBC is third in the America East with 12.70 assists per game and fourth with 36.8 rebounds per game.
 
- Binghamton leads the all-time series 22-12, having taken the past three matchups. Earlier in the season, the Bearcats won 67-45 at the Events Center on Jan. 16. Rebecca Carmody finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Junior guard Karlee Krchnavi netted a career-best 14 points and Carly Boland added 13 points.
