Wrestling Hosts Bucknell Friday

Bearcats honor nine seniors in final home match of the season

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton Wrestling team (7-3, 7-2 EIWA) celebrates Senior Night on Friday, Feb. 15 as they host Bucknell (6-9, 4-5 EIWA). The match is set for a 7 p.m. start time in the West Gym.

Notes:
  • The Bearcats extended their winning streak to seven matches with back-to-back EIWA victories over Drexel (21-20) and Hofstra (30-14) last weekend
  • Three Bearcats appeared in the first NCAA rating percentage index, including 184-pounder Lou DePrez (5th), 174-pounder Vincent DePrez (29th) and 141-pounder Anthony Sparacio (24th)
  • Lou DePrez also appeared in his second NCAA Coaches Poll this season, ranked 11th at 184 pounds
  • Sparacio looks for his 10th consecutive win after improving to 21-9 with two wins over Hofstra and Drexel
  • #9 Lou Deprez (22-4) has won eight matches in a row
  • At 174 pounds, Vincent Deprez recorded his 89th career win last time out, stretching his win streak to seven
  • 133-pounder Zack Trampe extended his win streak to seven after a pair of wins over Hofstra and Drexel
  • Bucknell last dropped a pair of EIWA Duals against American (21-22) and Army West Point (19-22)
  • Zach Hartman (157) was ranked 11th in the latest NCAA Coaches Poll, alongside Drew Phipps (197) who was ranked 26th
  • Four Bison appeared in the first NCAA rating percentage index, including Hartman (11th), Phipps (12th), Jakob Campbell (32nd) and Kyle Inlander (32nd)
  • Team Captain Drew Phipps (8th in 2018 EIWA Championships) defeated 4th-ranked Rocco Caywood in a 7-3 upset victory last time out against Army West Point
