Women's Basketball Heads to Hartford

Bearcats and Hawks tip off Wednesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (12-15, 7-7 AE) won 59-50 at Vermont on Saturday for its third straight victory. Junior guard Kai Moon scored a game-high 23 points while senior forward Rebecca Carmody turned in her eighth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Olivia Ramil, meanwhile, finished with a career-high 14 points.
 
- Carmody ranks seventh in the America East in scoring (13.1 ppg.), first in rebounding (7.9 rpg.), fourth in assists (3.1 apg.) and is tied eighth in steals (1.7 spg.). Junior guard Carly Boland and sophomore forward Olivia Ramil are both tied for fifth with 1.0 blocks per game while Karlee Krchnavi is sixth with 6.1 rebounds per game.
 
- As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the conference in rebounding (37.7 rpg.) and is third in blocks (3.89 bpg.). The Bearcats are also fourth in both scoring (60.0 ppg.) and assists (12.44).
 
- Hartford (19-9, 12-2 AE) won 69-45 over UMass Lowell on Saturday to extend it winning streak to three games. Lindsey Abed, who ranks third in the America East with 14.6 points per game, had a game-high 20 points against the River Hawks. As a team, the Hawks rank first in the conference in both scoring defense (56.6 ppg.) and steals (12.69 spg.).
 
- Hartford leads the all-time series against Binghamton 28-12 but the Bearcats took a 73-62 decision at the Events Center back on Jan. 30. Carly Boland scored a game-high 19 points while Rebecca Carmody finished with 16 points and nine rebounds. Binghamton's last win at Hartford was a 53-47 triumph on Jan. 13. 2016.
