Women's Basketball Heads to Stony Brook

Bearcats and Seawolves tip off 7 p.m. on Wednesday

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (9-13, 4-5 AE) lost 71-62 to Albany on Saturday. Junior guard Kai Moon finished with a game-high 20 points while senior forward Rebecca Carmody finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, four steals and a pair of assists. Freshman forward Annie Ramil, the current America East Rookie of the Week, scored a career-high 13 points.
 
- Carmody ranks sixth in the America East in scoring (13.4 ppg.), first in rebounding (8.0 rpg.) is tied for fourth in assists (3.1 apg.) and tied for ninth in steals (1.6 spg.). Junior guard Carly Boland and sophomore forward Olivia Ramil are both tied for sixth with 1.0 blocks per game.
 
- As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the conference in rebounding (37.6 rpg.) and is third in blocks (3.68 bpg.). The Bearcats are also fourth in scoring (60.9 ppg.) and third with a .395 field goal percentage.
 
- Stony Brook (16-6, 5-4 AE) lost 73-62 at Hartford on Saturday. Jarrell Matthews scored a team-high 16 points. For the season, Shania Johnson ranks second in the America East with 16.0 points per game and is first with 8.0 assists per game.
 
- As a team, Stony Brook is second in the conference in both scoring offense (65.2 ppg.) and scoring defense (57.8 ppg.). The Seawolves are also first in rebounding (38.5 rpg.) and assists (17.91 apg.).
 
- Binghamton leads the all-time series 23-21 but earlier this season, Stony Brook won 65-56 at the Events Center on Jan. 7. Carly Boland scored a team-best 18 points while Rebecca Carmody finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Shania Johnson of Stony Brook, however, led all scorers with 26 points.
