Women’s Basketball loses 67-60 to Maine

Carmody nets team-high 17 points and 15 rebounds, Moon adds 14 points

VESTAL, N.Y. - Visiting Maine (22-7, 15-1 AE) had four players reach double figures to pace the Bears to a 67-60 victory over Binghamton (12-17, 7-9 AE) in an America East conference game Saturday afternoon at the Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center.

Junior guard Blanca Millan paced the Bears with a game-high 23 points, shooting 50% from beyond the arch. Millan was accompanied by Dor Saar, Fanny Wadling, and Tanesha Sutton all adding eleven points to the victory. As a team, Maine shot 35.5% from the floor, going 22-62 for the game. The Bears clinched the America East regular season title with their victory over Binghamton.

Senior forward Rebecca Carmody led the Bearcats with 17 points, bringing her to 1,049 total career points. Carmody contributed 15 rebounds, which is her 13th double-double of her career. She currently is ranked first in the America East with 8.0 rebounds per game.
