STORY LINES
- Binghamton (12-17) is making its 18th appearance in the America East Tournament. The Bearcats have advanced to the conference semifinals six times, most recently in 2016. Binghamton's most recent America East Tournament victory was a 49-41 triumph over UMBC in the 2016 quarterfinals at the Events Center.
- Albany (12-17) is making its 16th appearance in the America East Tournament. The Great Danes won six consecutive tournament championships from 2012-17.
- Binghamton has a pair of second-team all-conference selections this year – senior forward
Rebecca Carmody and junior guard
Kai Moon. Carmody was also named to the conference's All-Defensive Team.
- Carmody currently ranks eighth in the America East in scoring (13.0 ppg.) and first in rebounds (8.3 rpg.). She is also fourth in assists (3.2 apg.) and No. 10 with 1.6 steals per game. Moon, meanwhile, has averaged 12.8 points per game and has shot a team-best .821 from the free throw line this year.
- In two previous America East Tournament games, Moon has averaged 13.5 points per contest. In last season's quarterfinal game against Hartford, she scored a team-best 17 points, hitting all 12 of her free throws in the process.
- In four previous America East Tournament games, Carmody has averaged 6.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. In the Bearcats' 2016 quarterfinal win over UMBC, she grabbed a then career-high 11 rebounds.
- Albany is led by second-team all-conference selection Heather Forester and Kyara Frames, who was chosen to the third team. Frames currently ranks ninth in the America East with 12.6 points per game while Frames ranks second to Carmody with 7.4 rebounds per game.
- In America East Tournament games, Albany is 4-0 all-time against Binghamton. The Great Danes were triumphant in the 2008 and 2014 quarterfinals as well as the 2012 and 2016 semifinals.
- Freshman forward
Annie Ramil was chosen to the America East All-Rookie Team. She was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Feb. 4. She currently ranks third on the team with 7.7 points per game and third with 4.8 rebounds per contest.
