VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer (3-1) will carry a two-game win streak into a formidable road weekend. The Bearcats play at American (3-1) Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C. and finish up the road trip at George Mason (0-2-1) Sunday afternoon in Fairfax, Va.
The Bearcats have posted back-to-back 2-0 wins and in fact, all three of the team's victories have come by the same 2-0 margin. On Sunday, BU scored once in each half and blanked visiting Manhattan. On the heels of the 2-0 week, Binghamton swept the America East weekly awards. Junior forward

Olivia McKnight took home Rookie of the Week honors.
Bonney scored both goals in BU's 2-0 home win over Manhattan on Sunday.Theiller anchored a defense that posted two shutouts, including a 2-0 road win at St. Francis on Friday. She also assisted on the opening goal of the Manhattan win with a corner kick header that set up Bonney's first-half goal. McKnight contributed a goal and an assist to continue her strong start as a collegiate athlete. She leads the team with two goals and six points through four games and ranks second in the conference in points.

Haylee Poltorak has a 1.00 goals against average and an America East-best three shutouts.Â
American is coming off a 2-0 win of its own - over VMI on Saturday. The Eagles also have wins over UNC Asheville (2-0) and USC Upstate (2-1). American suffered its lone loss against George Washington (2-1). Freshman Fisayo Iluyomade has four of the team's seven goals so far this season. American was picked ninth (out of 10) in the Patriot League preseason poll.Â
In the only previous meeting between the two programs, BU defeated American 2-1 on the road in 2001 - the year before the Bearcats joined the America East.Â
On Sunday, BU will face Atlantic 10 member George Mason, which entered Thursday night's game with Maryland looking for its first win. The Patriots, however, won 14 games last season and received strong consideration for an NCAA at-large bid. Mason was picked third (of 14) in the A-10 preseason poll and received one first-place vote. The team opened its season with losses to Old Dominion (3-1) and Kentucky (4-2) and then tied Central Florida 2-2 last Sunday. Sophomore forward Emma Van Der Vorst has a team-best four points. Last season, Van Der Vorst tallied 14 goals (11th in nation) and was the A-10 Player and Rookie of the Year. Mason has seven international players (from England, Germany, Iceland the The Netherlands). Â
Binghamton has never faced George Mason.
