The Binghamton University wrestling team dropped two EIWA matchups Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. The Bearcats won two matchups in a 31-6 loss to Penn before winning three in a 28-9 defeat at the hands of Drexel.
Highlights
- Against Penn, Carson Sauriol kicked things off with a decision over Daniel Planta. Following an early takedown for Planta, Sauriol dominated the remainder of the bout en route to the 8-3 win.
- Jacob Nolan won a tight matchup with Jake Lizak 6-5 to round out the afternoon's winners
- In the evening, Matt Swanson was the first wrestler to get in the win column, as he defeated Drexel's Jared Donahue 6-2.
- Nolan put together a perfect day with a huge late takedown in a 3-2 win over Mike Manley before Joe Doyle won the match's final bout in overtime.
