Men's Basketball falls to UAlbany 74-62

Sessoms scores game-high 22 points; Mills adds 17 points in conference opener

VESTAL, N.Y. - Sophomore guard Sam Sessoms scored a game-high 22 points in the America East conference opener as Binghamton men's basketball (6-8, 0-1 AE) fell to UAlbany (8-8, 1-0 AE) Saturday evening at the Events Center. 

Trailing 41-27 at halftime, the Bearcats opened the second half with back-to-back three pointers from Pierre Sarr and Brenton Mills. Binghamton fought back and trailed 54-50 with just over ten minutes to play. UAlbany responded with a 10-2 run over the next four minutes to regain control of the game. UAlbany's Cameron Healy made a crucial three pointer with 2:30 left in the game to stamp the Great Dane's 74-62 victory. 

Mill's added 17 points to Binghamton's score sheet, while Sarr had a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. 

The Bearcats are back at home Wednesday night against UMBC at 7 p.m. in the Events Center.
