Women's Basketball Heads to St. Bonaventure

Bearcats and Bonnies Tip off Wednesday at 4 p.m. on ESPN+

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (0-1) lost 69-55 to Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 2 at the Events Center. Sophomore guard Denai Bowman poured in a game-high and career-best 22 points, going 11-for-17 from the field in the process. Sophomore forward Clare Traeger grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds while making the first start of her career. Fellow sophomore forward Birna Benonysdottir led the Bearcats with four assists and a pair of blocks.

- St. Bonaventure (0-1) lost its season opener 71-63 at Duquesne last Friday night. Tori Harris led the Bonnies with 16 points while Asianae Johnson added 14 points. Harris and Emily Calabrise each grabbed a team-best seven rebounds while Johnson dished out a team-best six assists.

- St. Bonaventure leads the all-time series 8-1. Last season, however, Binghamton took a 78-67 decision on Nov. 27 at the Events Center. Former America East Player of the Year Kai Moon poured in a game-high 28 points in the victory. Johnson finished with 14 points for the Bonnies. 

-  Bowman currently ranks first in the America East in scoring (22.0 ppg.) while Traeger tied for second in rebounding (11.0 rpg.). Benonysdottir, meanwhile, is tied for first with 4.0 assists per game and is first with 2.0 steals per contest.

- The Bearcats' game against St. Bonaventure represents its final non-conference game of the season. The America East Conference moves into league play this coming weekend and Binghamton will travel to Stony Brook for back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday.
