Women's Basketball Returns Home to Face Vermont

Bearcats and Catamounts tip off Saturday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (16-8, 5-6 AE) lost 58-54 at first-place Stony Brook on Wednesday night. Senior guard Kai Moon led all scorers with 20 points and also recorded four steals. Sophomore guard Hayley Moore finished with a season-high 12 points while senior guard Carly Boland chipped in 10 points.

- Moon ranks first in the America East and is No. 11 in the nation in scoring (20.2 ppg.). She is also first in the conference in steals (2.4 spg.). Senior guard Karlee Krchnavi ranks ninth in the America East with 6.3 rebounds per game while Boland is tied for 10th in assists (2.9 apg.) and is fourth in blocks (1.1 bpg.). As a team, Binghamton leads the America East with 67.7 points per game and is third in scoring defense (59.5 ppg.).

- Vermont (12-13, 6-6 AE) won 44-42 at New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon. Hanna Crymble scored a team-best 16 points while Josie Larkins added 12 points.

- Crymble ranks third in the America East in scoring (17.0 ppg.), second with 8.2 rebounds per game and is first with 1.9 blocks per contest. In the national stats, she is 41st in blocks per game. Crymble has turned in a conference-best nine double-doubles so far this season. As a team, the Catamounts led the America East and are ranked 45th in the nation with 4.48 blocks per game.

- Vermont leads the all-time series against Binghamton 23-16. Earlier this season, the Catamounts took a 65-62 decision in Burlington on Jan. 15. Moon led the Bearcats with 22 points but Crymble turned in a 32-point, nine-rebound, three-steal performance. In the most recent meeting at the Events Center, Vermont won 58-57 in overtime on Jan 19, 2019.


MILESTONES TO WATCH FOR VS. VERMONT

- With 395 made free throws, senior guard Kai Moon needs seven more makes to tie Bess Greenberg (1997-01) for third place all time in program history with 402.

- Binghamton would improve to 10-2 at home with a win over Vermont. It would be the Bearcats' fourth 10-win home season since moving into the Events Center in 2004.

- Binghamton would have 17 wins, which would tie for the fourth-highest win total during its 19-year NCAA Division I era.
