Women's Basketball Heads to Hartford

Bearcats and Hawks tip off Saturday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (18-8, 7-6 AE) won 62-58 at UMass Lowell on Wednesday night. Senior guard Kai Moon finished with a game-high 19 points to go along with four rebounds, five assists a block and three steals. Fellow senior guard Carly Boland turned in an 11-point, three-rebound, seven-assist, two-block, two steal performance.
 
- Moon ranks first in the America East and is No. 10 in the nation in scoring (20.2 ppg.). She is also first in the conference in steals (2.4 spg.). Senior guard Karlee Krchnavi ranks ninth in the America East with 6.2 rebounds per game while Boland is tied for seventh in assists (3.1 apg.) and is fourth in blocks (1.1 bpg.). As a team, Binghamton leads the America East with 67.8 points per game and is third in scoring defense (59.2 ppg.). 
 
- Hartford (0-27, 0-14 AE) lost 64-55 to visiting New Hampshire on Wednesday night. Jada Lucas posted a team-high 21 points while Sierra Smith grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
 
-  Lucas ranks eighth in the America East with 12.6 points per game. She also leads the Hawks with 1.5 steals per game. Smith, meanwhile, is fifth in the conference in rebounding (7.2 rpg.). 
 
- Hartford leads the all-time series 29-12. Binghamton, however, took an 80-44 decision back on Jan. 29 at the Events Center. Senior guard Karlee Krchnavi finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists and six steals. On their home court, the Hawks have won the past three meetings against the Bearcats.

- 19 wins would mark the second-best single-season total during Binghamton's 19-year NCAA Division I era (with the 2001-02 and 2010-11 teams).
