VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton men's basketball (3-6) shot 59 percent and put 10 players in the scoring column en route to a 79-55 win over visiting SUNY Oneonta (6-2) Saturday afternoon at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center. The game served as an exhibition game for the Division III Red Dragons. Â
Juniors
George Tinsley,
Jacob Falko and
Hakon Hjalmarsson scored 15 points apiece and sophomore
Kellen Amos added 11. After building a 41-24 halftime bulge, BU balanced its minutes and shot 62 percent in the second half.Â
"It's always good to win," head coach
Levell Sanders said. "I thought we were a little bit lax with our intensity though. It wasn't a focused effort today and we after we give the guys some time off for finals, we have to prepare for Niagara and be full steam ahead."
Tinsley nearly earned his first double-double of the season but ended up with nine rebounds. He and Falko each shot 7-for-10 from the floor. Hjalmarsson did his work in 19 minutes, hitting 6-of-7 and added a team-high four assists.Â
Binghamton returns after a 10-day break for finals and hosts Niagara on Dec. 21.Â
