Women's Basketball Heads to Lehigh

Bearcats and Mountain Hawks tip off Saturday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-3) lost 63-40 at Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday night. Junior forward Birna Benonysdottir led the Bearcats with 15 points while junior guard Denai Bowman added 12 points. Junior forward Clare Traeger, meanwhile, recorded a career-high six steals.

- Traeger ranks fourth in the America East with 12.5 points per game, is second with 8.7 rebounds and first with 2.7 steals per contest. Junior guard Denai Bowman is No. 14 with 11.0 points per game. She is also third with 3.8 assists per game, tied for sixth with 0.8 blocks per contest and is fourth with 2.2 steals per game. As a team, Binghamton is second in the conference in scoring (64.7 ppg.), assists (14.8 apg.) and steals (10.00 spg.).

- Lehigh (5-3) is currently ranked No. 19 in the College Insider Mid-Major Poll. On Wednesday, however, the Mountain Hawks lost 65-60 to Villanova. Emma Grothaus led the Mountain Hawks with 16 points while Frannie Hottinger, who leads the team with 16.8 points per game, added 12 points. Grothaus is the team's top rebounder (8.0 rpg.) and blocker (1.5 bpg.).

- Lehigh leads the all-time series 9-3, having swept the past seven meetings. Most recently, the Mountain Hawks won 65-55 at the Events Center on Nov. 21, 2018. The last Bearcat win was a 72-48 decision back on Dec. 8, 2005.
