VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team concluded its season with a 18-6 loss against Albany Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex in Vestal. The Bearcats honored their seven seniors, as well as the class of 2020 prior to the game.
Despite the loss, head coach Stephanie Allen raved about the team's current seniors and what they have brought to the program.
It is a tremendous honor that we got to recognize and celebrate this group of Seniors today," Allen said. "The class of 2021 entered Binghamton and helped us turn the corner as a program. While this year and last did not allow for our seniors to have a normal college playing experience, we thank them for helping lead our team through each challenge we faced. This is a group of women who's impact will be missed both on and off the field."
Senior midfielder Alyssa Sanchez led the Bearcats offensively, scoring two goals and adding six draw controls. She also had two caused turnovers. Taylor Passuello also made 11 saves, to push her career total over 400 (408).
