SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Curt Calov and Diendre Kerr each scored twice, leading Syracuse (4-2) to a 7-0 win over Binghamton (4-2) in a non-conference men's soccer game on Tuesday night at the SU Soccer Stadium. The loss snaps the Bearcats' two-game winning streak.
Calov scored both his goals in the first half while Kerr scored once, staking the Orange to a 3-0 lead at the break. Kerr than began the scoring with a goal in the 55th minute, padding the advantage to 4-0. Syracuse added three more goals between the 61st and 72nd minute.
The Orange play in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). This past weekend, they beat Virginia 3-1 on the road in a conference game. Heading into that match, the Cavaliers were receiving votes in both national polls.
Total shots for the match on Tuesday night were 11-3 Syracuse.
Binghamton heads to Monmouth on Saturday for a 4 p.m. match. It will conclude a stretch of five consecutive road matches for the Bearcats.
