STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (4-8, 0-2 AE) lost 69-44 at first-place Stony Brook on Wednesday night. Junior forward Birna Benonysdottir netted a team-best 18 points and added seven rebounds as well as a pair of blocks. Junior guard Denai Bowman finished with eight points, six rebounds, six assists, a block and two steals while junior forward Clare Traeger grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
 
- Benonysdottir ranks second in the America East with 16.7 points per game while Bowman is third (13.4 ppg.). Bowman also ranks second in assists (4.3 apg.) and is tied for fourth in steals (1.8 spg.). Traeger, meanwhile, leads the conference in rebounding (8.6 rpg.).
 
- As a team, Binghamton is third in the conference in scoring (62.9 ppg.) and steals (7.92 spg.). In addition, the Bearcats lead the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense (.203).
 
- NJIT (9-8, 4-2 AE) lost 71-49 at Vermont on Wednesday night. Kiana Brereton led the Highlanders with 13 points.
 
- Kenna Squier leads NJIT and is tied for No. 10 in the America East with 11.8 points per game. As a team, the Highlanders lead the conference in blocks (4.47 pbg.) and are third in scoring defense (57.1 ppg.).
 
- Binghamton leads the all-time series against NJIT 4-2. Earlier this season, however, the Highlanders won 66-64 at the Events Center on Jan. 8. Senior guard Hayley Moore scored a team-best 13 points while freshman forward Genevieve Coleman had 12 points.
