STORY LINES

- Binghamton (5-10, 1-4 AE) won 67-44 at UMBC on Saturday night. Junior guard Birna Benonysdottir poured in a game-high 20 points while junior guard Denai Bowman finished with 17 points, six assists and four steals. Junior guard Hayley Moore, meanwhile, added 13 points.

- Benonysdottir ranks first in the America East with 16.8 points per game while Bowman is third (13.8 ppg.). Bowman also ranks second in assists (4.2 apg.) and is tied for second in steals (1.9 spg.). Junior forward Clare Traeger, meanwhile, leads the conference in rebounding (8.7 rpg.).

- As a team, Binghamton is third in the conference in scoring (61.8 ppg.), rebounding (36.3 rpg.) and assists (13.67). In addition, the Bearcats lead the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense (.204).

- Albany (13-6, 6-2 AE) beat NJIT 57-53 on Saturday for its third victory in the past four games. Kayla Cooper led the Great Danes with 14 points.

- Cooper is tied for sixth in the America East in scoring (12.6 ppg) and is tied for fourth in rebounding (7.1 ppg.). Lucia Decortes is first in the conference in blocks (1.6 bpg.). As a team, Albany leads the conference in scoring defense (48.7).

- Albany leads the all-time series against Binghamton 44-27. Last season, the two teams split a pair of games at the Events Center. The Great Danes won 43-38 on Feb. 6 but the Bearcats took a 64-52 decision the following day. Bowman had 21 points and 13 rebounds in the second game.
