Women’s Basketball Hosts Hartford on Tuesday

Bearcats and Hawks tip off at 6:07 p.m.

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (6-6) has been off since its 50-48 loss at St. Bonaventure on Dec. 9. Senior guard Denai Bowman led the Bearcats with 12 points, four rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a pair of steals against the Bonnies. Redshirt freshman guard Ella Wanzer netted nine points while redshirt freshman guard Meghan Casey and graduate student forward Shannon O'Connor each added eight points.
 
- Bowman leads the Bearcats and ranks fourth in the America East with 13.1 points per game. She is also first in steals (2.4 spg.) and is tied for second in blocks (1.3 bpg.). Senior forward Clare Traeger leads the America East with 9.1 rebounds per game while redshirt freshman guard Jadyn Weltz is fourth in assists (3.6 apg.). Wanzer ranks second in the America East with 2.5 3-point FGs per game.
 
- Hartford (0-11) lost 69-55 to Central Connecticut State on Sunday at home. Neyeli Dowding led three Hawks in double figures with 15 points. Zaiha Minnus added 13 points while Tutum Forbes finished with 10 points. For the season, Forbes leads the Hawks with 8.0 points per game.
 
- Binghamton and Hartford meet for the first time since the Hawks left the America East Conference last summer. The Hawks are transitioning to the NCAA Division III level. When the two programs were in the America East Conference (2002-22), the Hawks held a 31-16 advantage in the all-time series. During the 2021-22 season, the two teams split the season series, with each team winning on the road.
