STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (7-6, 0-0 AE) has been off since its 70-34 win over Hartford at home back on Dec. 20. Senior forward Genevieve Coleman scored a game-high 17 points while senior forward Clare Traeger and freshman guard Anna Long each netted 11 points. Senior guard Denai Bowman, meanwhile, tied her career high with seven assists.
 
- Bowman leads the Bearcats and ranks sixth in the America East with 12.4 points per game. She is also first in steals (2.3 spg.), is tied for third in blocks (1.2 bpg.) and is fifth in assists (3.3 apg.). Traeger leads the America East with 8.8 rebounds per game.
 
- Binghamton ranks among the top three teams in the America East in all five major statistical categories. The Bearcats are first in both rebounding (38.4 rpg.) and steals (8.69 spg.), second in blocks (3.38 bpg.) and third in both scoring (60.2 ppg.) and assists (12.92 apg.)
 
- UMBC (3-8, 0-0 AE) also played its most recent game against Hartford, winning 76-52 on the road on Dec. 22. K.K White, who leads the Retrievers and ranks No. 12 in the America East with 10.4 ppg., netted a team-best 18 points against the Hawks. Kiara Bell ranks second in the America East in rebounding (7.9 rpg) and as a team, UMBC ranks second in the conference in rebounding (37.0 rpg.).
 
- Binghamton leads the all-time series against UMBC 28-13, having won the past three meetings. Last year, the Bearcats won 67-44 in Baltimore on Jan. 29 and 58-46 at home on March 2. Bowman averaged 17.5 points in the pair of games.
 
- Thursday's game marks another Homecoming for Binghamton head coach Bethann Shapiro Ord. She is a 1989 graduate of UMBC and was a three-year starting point guard.
