CAMBRIDGE, MA. - Binghamton wrestling won five of 10Â bouts against Harvard, but fell to the Crimson 19-17 Saturday afternoon. Anthony Sobotker and Joe Doyle highlighted the team's efforts, getting major decisions in their bouts.

Binghamton lost a tight bout at 125 pounds, but Anthony Sobotker gave the Bearcats a lead with a major decision over Cole Bayless. The senior took control early, getting a takedown and two near fall points. He went on to lead 8-1 after one and coasted to the 11-1 win.

Ryan Anderson took on Kenny Hermmann, and grabbed two takedowns in the first to lead 4-1. The sophomore couldn't manage any more takedowns in the bout, but came away with the 5-1 decision for his eighth straight victory.

BU was pinned at 149 pounds, and lost at 157 pounds, but Brevin Cassella grabbed another win at 165 pounds. The sophomore got a takedown early on Cael Berg, and dominated on top throughout the bout. He would add another takedown and get a ride time point to win 6-0.

BU fell in two straight matches, but closed the dual with two wins. Sam DePrez used a second period takedown and third period escape to get a 3-2 decision over Will Hoeft. The win kept the Bearcats alive in the match.

Joe Doyle did everything he could to get a pin and tie the team score. He dominated his matchup getting an array of takedowns, and walked away with a 14-1 major decision. He improved to 14-6 on the season.
