Women's Basketball Travels to Vermont

Bearcats and Catamounts tip off Wednesday at 6 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (7-18, 3-12 AE) won 63-46 at Hartford on Monday night. Junior forward Birna Benonysdottir led three players in double figures with a game-high 19 points. She was joined by senior guard Hayley Moore (16) and junior guard Denai Bowman (15).

- Benonysdottir and Bowman continue to rank second and third in the America East in scoring with 14.7 and 14.0 points per game respectively. Bowman is also second in assists (3.9 apg.) and third with (1.8 spg.). Junior forward Clare Traeger, meanwhile, is second in the conference with 7.4 rebounds per game.

- As a team, the Bearcats rank fourth in the America East with a .714 free throw percentage. In addition, they continue to lead the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense (.232).

- In their last two games – both victories – the Bearcats have averaged 67.0 points per game. Binghamton has also shot 46 percent from the field during that stretch.

- Vermont (17-10, 11-5 AE) won 59-47 at UMBC on Saturday. Emma Utterback led the Catamounts with a game-high 20 points, followed by Josie Larkins (15) and Anna Olson (14).

- Utterback is tied for fourth in the America East with 12.7 points per game and is third with 3.8 assists per contest. Olson, meanwhile, is tied for seventh in scoring (12.1 ppg.), ranks seventh in rebounding (6.5 rpg.) and is second in blocks (1.4 bpg.).

- As a team, Vermont is second in the America East in both scoring offense (61.2 ppg.) and scoring defense (53.7 ppg.). The Catamounts also lead the conference with 14.22 assists per game.

- Vermont leads the all-time series 24-17 over Binghamton. Most recently, the Catamounts took a 47-34 decision back on Feb. 9 at the Events Center. Benonysdottir had 15 points for the Bearcats but Olson led all scorers with 19 points.
