STORY LINES

- Binghamton (9-19) returns to the America East Tournament for the first time since 2020. Last year's season ended prematurely for the Bearcats due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

- In its most recent America East Tournament appearance, Binghamton defeated New Hampshire 51-42 in the 2020 quarterfinals before losing 57-42 at Stony Brook in the semifinals. Since joining the conference in 2001-02, Binghamton has also advanced to the semifinals in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2016.

- Binghamton and Vermont meet in the America East Tournament for the first time since 2005, when the Catamounts took an 80-65 decision in the quarterfinal round. In the only other previous postseason meeting between the two schools, Vermont beat the Bearcats 69-58 in the 2003 quarterfinals.

- Junior guard Denai Bowman is a first-team all-conference selection and All-Defensive Team member for the second year in a row. She is tied for second in the America East in scoring with 14.5 points per game. In addition, she is also second in steals (1.9 spg.), fourth in assists (3.8 apg.), No. 11 in rebounding (5.1 rpg.) and No. 12 in blocks (0.8 bpg.)

- Junior forward Birna Benonysdottir is tied with Bowman for second in the conference in scoring (14.5 ppg). She is also tied for fourth in blocks (1.0 bpg.). Fellow junior forward Clare Traeger, meanwhile, is second in the America East in rebounding (8.1 rpg.).

- For Vermont (19-10), Emma Utterback earned first-team all-conference honors while Anna Olson was named to the second team and Josie Larkins received third-team honors. Utterback is tied for fourth in the conference in scoring (12.3 ppg.) while Olson is ninth (12.0 ppg.). Olson is also tied for seventh in rebounding (6.4 rpg.) and is second in blocked shots (1.3 bpg.).

- Vermont won both games during the regular season, taking a 47-34 decision on Feb. 9 at the Events Center and recording a 65-60 triumph on Feb. 23 at Patrick Gym. Bowman and Benonysdottir each scored a game-high 22 points in the second game.
