Sports Dissected tour has already drawn more than 16K views of Bearcats $60 million new home

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton's new $60 million baseball complex continues to draw national attention. The renowned facilities agency Sports Dissected recently came to town from Texas and toured the expansive complex to showcase on their Youtube channel, which has more than 315,000 subscribers.

The Sports Dissected crew of director Marcus Sarate and host Leland Bruce received a full tour from 31-year head coach Tim Sinicki and produced a 15-minute showpiece here. The video drew more than 16K views in the first 24 hours.

The facility opened last spring to sellout crowds midway through BU's championship season. The stadium represents the fourth-highest new construction cost in college baseball (behind TD Ameritrade Park - home of College World Series, Creighton, Mississippi State and Florida) and its size and amenities rival any facility in Power 5 conferences. The historic $60 million anonymous donation was the largest in University history and paved the way for an 84,000 square-foot facility, which includes the new stadium (with Press Box, VIP suites, fan amenities) and adjacent expansive, two-story clubhouse, which features locker rooms, batting tunnels, athletic training, strength and conditioning, coaches offices, meeting rooms and an academic center with study lounges.

Construction on Phase 2 of the project - an indoor training facility, will begin in the next few months with an eye toward completion in 2024. The indoor complex will have a regulation turf infield and give the Bearcats ample practice space throughout the year.

Binghamton capped its 2023 season with the program's fifth America East crown and with it, a trip across the country to the NCAA Stanford Regional. The Bearcats have 11 combined America East regular season and tournament titles since 2007. No conference member has more in that span.
