BU and Orange kick-off at 7 p.m. at Bearcats Sports Complex

VESTAL, N.Y. - Rested Binghamton women's soccer (1-3-1) hosts ACC member Syracuse (5-1) Thursday night at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The teams will square off at 7 p.m. in a game broadcast on ESPN+.

Binghamton is back at home for the first time in 2+ weeks after playing three straight on the road. The Bearcats have also been idle since dropping a 2-0 decision at Bucknell on Sept. 1. Binghamton looks to reignite its offense after back-to-back shutout losses. In the team's first home game of the season on Aug. 21, BU blanked visiting Temple 2-0.

Senior forward Maya Anand leads the team with two goals and senior midfielder Olivia McKnight has a goal and an assist. Keepers Nicole Scott (1.60 GAA) and Kaitlyn Williams (2.00) have the split the duties in net with Scott starting all five games and playing the first half before yielding to Williams for the second half.

Syracuse has won four in a row and five of six out of the gate. The Orange have outscored opponents 10-2 during the win streak. Cuse returns six starters and 16 letterwinners from a year ago. On Sunday, SU scored twice in the first half and defeated Merrimack 2-1. Graduate forward Chelsea Domond leads the team with three goals and two assists. Three different players have seen time in net, headed by freshman Shea Vanderbosch (0.50 GAA). In the win over Merrimack, Vanderbosch played the second half after senior Michaela Walsh went the first 45 minutes. Syracuse's lone loss of the season thus far was a 6-0 setback against UConn. In the team's opener, they defeated fellow America East member New Hampahire 2-1.

The Orange lead the all-time series 7-1-1 and has won the last five head-to-head by a combined 9-0 margin. Last fall, the Orange prevailed 1-0 up in Syracuse. Binghamton's lone win in the series came in 2005 - a 1-0 road win. Six of the nine games have been decided by one goal (or less).

After Thursday's game, BU heads to New Jersey for a Sunday afternoon tilt at FDU.
