Women’s Basketball Travels to Army

Bearcats and Black Knights Tip Off 1 p.m. on Wednesday

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (3-8) defeated visiting Coppin State 64-52 on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore forward Camryn Fauria finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds while redshirt sophomore Jadyn Weltz had a team-best 19 points and a game-high seven assists. Junior forward Genevieve Coleman, meanwhile, added 14 points.
 
- Redshirt sophomore Ella Wanzer leads the Bearcats and is ninth in the America East with 12.7 points per game. Weltz is No. 11 with 11.2 points per game and leads the conference with 5.2 assists per game. Coleman and graduate student guard Denai Bowman are both averaging 10.0 points per game. Wanzer is second with 3.1 three-point field goals per game while Weltz is fourth with a .480 field goal percentage.
 
- As a team, Binghamton ranks first in the America East and 7.8 three-point field goals per game. The Bearcats are also first with 15.1 assists per contest.
 
- Playing in Patriot League, Army (2-6) has been of since losing 62-42 to visiting Vermont back on Dec. 6.  Kya Smith led the Black Knights with 11 points against the Catamounts.
 
- Trinity Hardy leads Army with 11.8 points per game while Smith is tops with 7.6 rebounds per contest. Hardy is also first on the team with 2.1 steals per game.
 
- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Army 5-2, having taken the past two meetings - both at the Events Center. Most recently, the Bearcats won 76-61 on Nov. 10, 2022. Wanzer netted 17 points in that victory while Weltz and Bowman both finished with 15 points.
